Life Martial Arts Schedule |
Beginners' Class: Open to
all students. Beginners' classes cover basics such as hanmi,
ukemi, etiquette. Beginners must complete 8-10 Beginners' Classes
before joining Basic and Open classes.
Basic Class: Any student may attend (see above). Basic
classes cover fundamental technique: ikkyo, nikkyo, etc.
Open Class: Any student may attend. Empty-hand and/or fundamental weapons training.
Advanced Class: Only students of rank 3rd kyu or higher may attend.
Little Dragons:4 to 8 years old
Big Dragons: 9 to 14 years old
Adults:15 and up

Note to Aikido students
You will initially be required to attend some Beginners' classes (see schedule above), in addition to whatver other "open" classes you may choose to attend.
Aikido Rank Testing
Kyu rank testing will take place quarterly, usually in the last week of January, April, July, and October. If you have questions about testing procedures, fees, or your readiness to test, speak to a sempai or Sensei. There is a $35 fee for testing, payable on the day of the test.
